Canadian electro duo Chromeo have been around for 10 years, and even after a decade, the team – which described themselves as ‘the only successful Arab/Jewish partnership since the dawn of human culture’ – is still churning out funky electronic hits. Indeed, their latest single “Jealous” is everything there is to love about Chromeo: a good beat, catchy electronic melody and fun vocals.
Riding the wave of popularity on this latest song comes the requisite cache of remixes, but one that stands out is that of Californian remix-raja Dillon Francis. It maintains that funky-fresh upbeat vibe, whilst also adding a more dance-appropriate twist.
Go on, have a listen.
Hometown: Los Angeles, US.
Latest album: Dillon Francis will release his untitled debut album in July 2014 (Chromeo will release White Women on May 12).
Sounds like: Knife Party, Nero.
Say what? Dillon Francis attributes himself as ‘at least partially responsible for the cat-internet-invasion that’s manifested itself to infinity over the last few years’.
With sweet summer kisses from Cath
