Sinead Harnett has just dropped ‘No Other Way’, the leading track from her upcoming debut EP, N.O.W, set for release on 15 June. Although a debut EP may signal that she’s new to the game, Sinead has been writing and recording for about seven years.
It’s likely that you’ve already heard her super seductive vocals on tracks from Disclosure’s album Settle, including ‘Boiling‘ and ‘What’s In Your Head‘, or from Rudimental’s debut album, with ‘Home‘, ‘Hide‘ and ‘Baby‘. She also collaborated with Ryan Hemsworth, on a track called ‘Small + Lost‘.
‘No Other Way’ is smooth as fuck (oh man, so descriptive). But seriously. Smooth, soulful, sultry, sexual. Just a big hazy cloud of sex with a little bit of Snakehips’ glittery groove weaved throughout. Produced by Utters and Snakehips, ‘No Other Way’ evokes an image of a lazy Sunday afternoon spent with a hunky man between layers of sheets.
We predict that the Irish-Thai songstress has a big future ahead of her. Sinead describes her music as “quite soulful, with a (hopefully) modern twist”, and her rich, effortless vocals have been compared to powerhouses like Adele.
The art felicis team are eagerly awaiting the release of N.O.W, but for now (ha!), sit back and lose yourself to ‘No Other Way’.
